Ep. 46 On the Sideline with Champions For Literacy

Champions for Literacy is a non-profit that uses the power of sports to impact childhood reading.

WHEN A BIG VOICE MEETS A BIG CAUSE, OUR WORLD BECOMES A BETTER PLACE.

WHY LITERACY?  BECAUSE EVERY KID DESERVES TO BE A GREAT READER.

From college athletic teams holding a megaphone to the cause of literacy, to younger athletes raising funds to support kids in their own community, to corporate sponsors catalyzing the efforts of teams and athletes – CFL create one-of-a-kind impact experiences.

Jason Baker is a native to Memphis. While studying at the University of Memphis and since earning his undergraduate degree, Jason has served in youth development and social entrepreneurship roles, where he grew his passion specifically for education. When he is not passionately telling the story of Champions for Literacy, Jason enjoys all things that begin with the letter “B” – basketball (the Memphis Tiger kind), bikes, books, bands, Bailey (the family dog), and the Bluff City.
