Ep. 49 Kenneth Moody | Basketball

His story in his own words.

How do you handle other people’s opinions about your career path?

In this episode, I chat with Ken Moody, former Memphis State basketball player, to discuss his inspiring journey. Growing up in Memphis as the youngest of 11 children with a single mom, Ken found basketball as his ticket to a better life.

Ken opens up about the realization that a professional basketball career was not in the ‘cards’ for him, and the harsh reality of dealing with other people’s opinions on his self-confidence as a young man.

He talks about the heartbreak of his mom’s death from breast cancer and the pivotal moment when someone gave him a chance in a new job.

Now Ken is his second career chapter of his 5th quarter back at his alma mater, navigating a new path with resilience and determination while connecting new Memphians with the history of the university.

All of this and so much more…
